The Firmness Ratings
Simple
10 Point Scale:
Our Firmness
Ratings is based on a standard 10 point scale from 1 (firm) to 10
(soft).
Firmness Ratings of 1
Similar to sleeping on the living room
carpeted floor. At this point in time there are no mattresses that
actually provide this level of firmness.
Firmness Ratings of 2 to 4
These are the firmest to the hardest
mattresses in the industry.
Firmness Ratings of 4.5 to 6.5
Mattresses in this range are a great
compromise. Midrange firmness levels. Generally if you don't have a
preference with regard to the mattress firmness this mattress would be
ideal. Similar to a mattress firmness you might find at a hotel.
Firmness Ratings of 7 to 9.5
These mattresses feel very soft.
Similar to what you might find if you added a featherbed or egg crates
to your mattress. Generally these are pillow tops.
Firmness Ratings of 10
A mattress with the level of ten would be the softest mattress you
could imagine.
